The research team of the Chinatown Project (Professors Ien Ang, Kay Anderson, Donald McNeill and Dr Alexandra Wong) launched their book Chinatown unbound: Trans-Asian urbanism in the age of China at The Australian Sociological Association (TASA) 2019 Conference in November.
Western Sydney University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) Kevin Dunn and City of Sydney’s Strategic Research Manager Phillip Raskall were the guests to launch the book.

Both Professor Dunn and Mr Raskall highly praised the quality of the book. Prof Dunn said that the book has provided a lot of insights for the multi-culturalism in Australia and Mr Raskall added that the book has a lot of relevance for the City of Sydney's 2050 strategic plan.
