Organised by the Institute for Culture and Society at Western Sydney University, this event will launch the book titled ‘The China Australia Migration Corridor: history and heritage’ (Melbourne University Press) about the legacy and heritage of Chinese migration to Australia from the 1840s to the present day. The details of the book launch are as below:

Location: Darling Square Public Library Ideas Space (The Exchange, level 1, 1 Little Pier Street, Haymarket NSW 2000)
Three guest speakers will give a brief introduction to the book and engage in discussion with the book's authors and the audience about the history of Chinese migration to Australia and aspects of the preservation of Chinese Australian heritage.
• Dr Sophie Loy Wilson, Senior lecturer in Chinese-Australian history, The University of Sydney
• Ms Ann Toy, museum curator and board member of the Museum of Chinese in Australia (MOCA) in Sydney
• Mr Douglas Lam, a member of the Chung Shan Society of Australia and genealogy hunter who helps Chinese diasporas trace their ancestral roots in Zhongshan
Admission to the event is free, but booking is essential. Light refreshments will be provided.
